About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Project Manager / Project Engineer to join our team at Recruitment Services UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in managing the delivery of projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Planning and Coordination: Direct and assess all aspects of project delivery from order receipt to completion, facilitating collaboration among engineers, designers, and production teams to develop and produce the project.
  2. Technical Expertise: Understand technical information and quality documentation in response to customer requirements, familiarizing with programme plans, coordinating engineering documentation and workshop activities.
  3. Leadership and Communication: Provide leadership and set the tone for the execution of the project, providing the client with transparency throughout the project and implementing EWNs and CEs where necessary.
  4. Commercial Awareness: Support clients in navigating their technical and commercial assurance requirements, working closely with production and quality departments to accurately plan workload to achieve project schedule.
  5. Site Visits and Stakeholder Management: Visit sites to verify project progress and gather stakeholder/customer feedback, ensuring that all project phases are managed and concerns from all stakeholders are addressed.
Requirements
  1. Education and Qualifications: Degree level qualification in Engineering or similar, a project management qualification, such as Prince 2, APM, or PMI, and a formal engineering qualification minimum level HND / HNC.
  2. Experience: Working experience in Industrial, Mechanical, Process Engineering or equivalent, with a strong desire to advance your career in a dynamic and innovative company.
  3. Skills and Competencies: Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, with commercial awareness including knowledge of NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contracts.
