About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Quantity Surveyor to join our prestigious Civil Engineering business in Preston. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement, commercial, and contractual aspects of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the procurement of sub-contractors
  • Prepare and submit external applications for payment
  • Identify, price, and agree on changes, valuations, and sub-contractor accounts
  • Commercially manage projects
  • Supervise and train junior members of staff
  • Attend client and design meetings as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a BSc, NVQ4, or MSc qualification, along with a relevant CSCS card. You will be an excellent communicator, able to motivate and influence with ease. You will also be a natural problem solver with exceptional commercial acumen and confident decision-making skills.

You will have a solid understanding of construction techniques and processes, as well as various forms of Method of Measurement and standard engineering contracts. You will also have the appreciation and willingness to adopt Value engineering principles.
