About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Store Manager to join our team at Lidl. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of store colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead by Example: Set a high standard of performance and behavior for your team, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  2. Store Operations: Independently manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and maintaining high standards of customer service.
  3. Team Development: Lead and inspire your team to achieve their full potential, providing coaching, guidance, and support to help them grow and develop in their roles.
  4. Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to customer queries and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
  5. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts and minimizing stock discrepancies.
  6. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety laws, standards, and guidelines, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all colleagues and customers.
Requirements
  1. Leadership Experience: Proven experience of leading and developing a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
  2. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and external partners.
  3. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze situations, identify solutions, and implement effective actions.
  4. Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a busy store environment.
  5. Customer Focus: Strong customer focus, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding customer expectations.
