About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to join our culinary team at Platters Farm Lodge. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met, and providing a warm and welcoming environment in our home.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our residents, Registered Home Manager, and other colleagues to plan and cost menus, ensuring that we provide a balanced and nutritious diet that meets the needs of our residents.

We are proud to deliver person-centred hospitality across our service, and we are looking for a Cook who is driven by quality, has a genuine interest in the wellbeing of our residents, and is passionate about creating a warm and welcoming environment in our home.

We offer a permanent role on a full-time basis of 45 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days per week, with alternate weekends. As a Strode Park Foundation colleague, you will receive comprehensive support from day one and will have access to training and development opportunities to develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure residents' dietary needs are met;
  • Design menus for residents;
  • Liaise with the Registered Home Manager to plan and cost menus;
  • Provide a balanced nutritious diet, making the best use of available fresh foods;
  • Ensure full compliance with all food hygiene and safety regulations.

Essential Skills
  • Experience of food preparation;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative and engaging way;
