Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Clinical Psychologist to deliver a specialized psychological service for our acute care units and crisis intervention teams. This role will also involve providing professional guidance for our psychological therapy services across the region. The position offers a unique opportunity to enhance your clinical and leadership skills while collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals in psychology and related fields.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will take on a leadership role within the clinical team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality psychological services to clients facing complex challenges. Responsibilities include:
- Supervision and governance of a team of psychologists and psychological therapists.
- Supporting psychological practices through consultation, supervision, and training.
- Utilizing research skills for service evaluation and development.
- Ensuring that multidisciplinary teams have access to psychological insights and contributing to the evolution of psychological approaches within the teams.
- Conducting assessments and providing focused, short-term interventions, both individually and in group settings.
- Offering training and clinical supervision to other staff members.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, confident, and thrive in a multidisciplinary environment. Experience in specific areas such as psychosis or personality disorders is advantageous, as is a systemic or psychodynamic understanding of team dynamics. Qualifications and Experience
Essential Qualifications

- Experience working with diverse client groups across various care settings.
- Proven ability to manage clinical responsibilities for clients' psychological care.
- Knowledge of research methodologies and relevant legislation.
- Expertise in specialized psychological therapies and assessment techniques.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development as required by the regulatory body.
- Formal training in the supervision of other psychologists.
