Ecologist Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced ecologist to join our team of specialists in ecological consultancy. The successful candidate will have a strong background in terrestrial ecology and a proven track record of delivering high-quality technical reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake terrestrial ecology site work, including Phase 1 Habitat and UK Habitat Classification surveys.
  • Oversee, review, and prepare technical reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and EcIAs.
  • Manage projects independently, liaising with clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and policy.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years' relevant professional experience in ecological consultancy or a closely related field.
  • A relevant degree and/or postgraduate qualification, with a strong academic record.
  • Knowledge and experience of protected species surveys, mitigation, and licensing.
  • Ability to produce concise, high-quality written reports and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across the UK, with some requirement for overnight stays.
