Position Overview
We are seeking to recruit Estimators with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas sector to undertake responsibilities on several prominent projects.
The Estimators will collaborate with the client's Estimating team, creating detailed resource-based estimates to assess design modifications, uphold the baseline costs, and scrutinize contractors' estimates. You will report directly to the Regional Estimating Manager.
Key Responsibilities
As an Estimator, your responsibilities will include:
- Generating precise and thorough estimates for projects in a timely and efficient manner, overseeing the estimating process at the project level;
- Producing estimates independently, without supervision;
- Promoting and developing best practices in estimating within Turner & Townsend;
- Contributing to the achievement of departmental goals;
- Keeping updated on advancements in your technical area of expertise to provide best practice guidance aligned with business objectives;
- Actively participating in the development and leadership of an Estimating Hub in the region.
- Highly qualified in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with relevant experience;
- Diverse experience in construction projects;
- Successful track record in providing estimating and/or QS services in a large project environment;
- Understanding of project management, planning, risk, and investment processes;
- Ability to utilize RIB Construction Suite/iTWO to an Intermediate User standard;
- Membership in a relevant professional body with chartered status and/or a degree;
- Preferred degree in quantity surveying or a related construction field;
- Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB / A. Cost E.
