Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transport Planner to join our team at Culina Group. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day planning of our transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate the movement of goods across multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites in the UK.
  • Manage daily workload for a fleet of vehicles, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, subcontract hauliers, and internal teams to resolve queries and issues.
  • Liaise with Traffic and Administration teams to maintain high standards of performance.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases for customer reports and analysis.
  • Identify and report problems, and implement solutions to improve operations.
  • Support the fleet and driver training team as required.
  • Conduct pre- and post-debriefs for driver shifts.
  • Deliver effective internal and external communications.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in transport planning, with experience in a busy and demanding environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to working, with a willingness to meet business requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the business.
  • Ability to identify and suggest improvements to benefit the company and customers.
  • Highly motivated individual, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of SAP, BPCS, and Road Runner is advantageous.
