Job Title: CAD Technician

United Living Group is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team. As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in the design of telecommunications sites using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare site designs to operator guidance and requirements as requested by the Design Manager.
  • Be confident in the use of AutoCAD (2D) software and provide input and produce Planning and Construction drawings across multiple projects.
  • Make recommendations for further investigation work and carry out further investigation work on drawings with the aid of Project Engineer Reports and Design Manager knowledge.
  • Ensure all work is in accordance with GBC policies and procedures, as well as Health and Safety policies.
  • Work on other technical skills and abilities as required to become a multi-skilled design technician.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
  • Set a good example to others by working safely.
  • Take reasonable care of yourself and any other person who may be affected by your actions and omissions.
  • Adopt a positive attitude, cooperate and assist the company in all aspects of Health, Safety and the Environment.
  • Understand and help to implement all relevant health and safety policies and arrangements based upon the policies.

  • Computer literate, including software packages such as Microsoft Office.
  • Able to record detail & complete documentation manually & electronically.
  • Good communicator & well organised.

This is a full-time permanent role, 8am-5pm Monday to Friday from our Widnes Office (WFH available). Opportunity to spend time in and working closely with other departments will be provided to ensure the successful applicant gains a wide depth and breadth of experience and understanding of the company and industry.
