Our customeris a leading supplier of specialised diesel-driven, alternative, and sustainable power systems, equipment, and services to a wide range of industries including oil and gas, marine, renewables, mining, agricultural, and construction.
They have an international reputation for high quality design, manufacture, and servicing of a wide range of hazardous area equipment, particularly well service equipment including nitrogen pumps, specialist skids, coil tubing and compressor units for the offshore industry.
They are seeking a proactive, ambitious candidate with a can-do attitude and passion for design engineering. You will liaise closely with our engineering team onsite to ensure our customers are provided with specialist equipment required for the job in hand.
The ideal candidate will befamiliar with well service equipment including nitrogen pumps, DNV skids, fluid pumps, coil tubing and compressor units for the offshore industry.
The successful candidate will also assist with co-ordinating various aspects of engineering, including design, planning/development, and preparation of cost estimates for the companys packages. The Proposal Engineer will be responsible for the development of design, materials handling, manpower requirements, cost analysis and other areas as appropriate. The Proposal Engineer will produce technical and commercial proposals for conceptual, budget, and firm opportunities. Providing engineering support and technical solutions.
Review and interpretation of project specifications, standards, regulations, and requirements.
Obtaining quotations from suppliers, reviewing quotations, and developing good working relationships with suppliers technical and commercial teams.
The role will involve interfacing and developing relationships with clients and their contractors during the bid development stages. Some attendance at Bid Clarification and Project Kick-off Meetings may also be required from time to time.
Previous experience of compiling cost estimates for mechanical packages (essential)
Excellent communication skills, including a good standard of both written and spoken English (essential).
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word PowerPoint, Teams) (essential)
Experience with the design of oil and gas industrial field equipment (Nitrogen Pumps, Fluid Pumps) (desirable)
Solid Works/CAD design (desirable)
Knowledge of equipment manufacture compliance and legislation, DNV offshore certification requirements, ATEX / Hazardous Area equipment compliance (desirable)
You will ideally hold an HND or equivalent in Engineering, however equivalent experience in a similar field/proven tack record will be considered.
Formal project management qualification would also be advantageous, but not essential.
