Assistant Headteacher: Quality of Education and Curriculum Development

The Assistant Headteacher will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for driving the school's vision and values. They will work closely with the SLT to define, articulate, and implement the school's educational strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the school's ethos, values, and educational purposes.
- Lead the development of a clear curriculum intent and implementation plan, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Work with the Senior Leadership Team to monitor and evaluate the quality of education across the school, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to address them.
- Support staff in understanding the importance of quality first teaching and the need for a collaborative approach to education.
- Ensure that all staff have high expectations of what pupils can achieve and work to ensure pupils are making the most of their learning opportunities.
- Lead the monitoring of teaching and learning standards, responding to under-performance through training, coaching, and individual support packages.
- Oversee the work of Heads of Department to ensure the quality of education within their subjects.
- Develop and implement a strong Pupil Voice strategy, ensuring pupils have opportunities to reflect on the quality of education and care within the school.
