Role Summary:

As a Pension Accounts Administrator, you will be joining a team of over 30 Accountancy professionals working together to service in excess of 200 clients. You will be responsible for your own client portfolio and will report to the department head through a Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide Accounts Administration service to clients in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

2. Responsible for operating, maintaining, and reconciling client accounting records.

3. Operate computerized accounting systems and maintain data, filing, and records for the department, checking the integrity of data.

4. Accurate processing of a wide range of routine and non-routine payment transactions and documentation within defined procedures.

5. Use of internet banking for information gathering and electronic payments in local and foreign currencies.

6. Prepare cheque and credit transfer disbursements and effect payments.

7. Resolve customer enquiries (oral and written) based on competent working knowledge of customer requirements.

8. Drafting of non-standard correspondence in response to customer enquiries.

9. Reconcile bank accounts and banking records.

10. Prepare periodical reports on reconciliation results.

11. Input customer details and access customer information.

12. Collate and analyze data to produce routine reports, schedules, and summaries to update customer records and resolve customer queries.

13. Provision of technical guidance to other team members.

Requirements:

1. GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English Grade B and above.

2. Accounting or Accounts Administration qualification or qualified by experience.

3. Good written and communication skills.

4. Close attention to detail.

5. A quick learner and good team player.

6. Ability to develop working relationships.

7. Ability to work within laid-down processes and procedures.

8. Use of a computerized accounting system.

9. Basic financial awareness of pension rules, regulations, and current legislation.

10. Microsoft Office packages.

11. Experience in an Accounts or Administration environment.

12. Experience of dealing with external clients working to SLAs.
