Position Overview:

In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Operations Director and oversee a dedicated team of Commercial Gas professionals. Your primary focus will be to ensure the delivery of customer-focused, high-quality, and cost-effective property safety and compliance services.

The position is based at the Bromley office, with a requirement to spend one day per week at the Tooley Street office.

Your experience in managing teams across Communal and District heating systems is essential, as you will be responsible for a team comprising 9 office staff and 18 engineers.

As a leader, you will exemplify best practices and provide clear direction, setting expectations and fostering individual and team performance through constructive feedback.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the delivery of safe and timely outcomes for customers.
  • Maintain accurate and high-quality data within property management systems.
  • Establish and uphold rigorous safety standards in compliance with Health and Safety legislation and CDM regulations.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, assets, and investment requirements in your area.
  • Collaborate with residents and community groups to create tailored services.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven technical expertise in gas service and repair.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a team focused on Commercial gas property safety and compliance within a large Housing Association.
  • Strong knowledge of program development and performance enhancement in a social housing context.

Essential Certifications:
  • Gas Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) qualifications and Gas Safe Registration.
  • City and Guilds certificate in gas (service) and/or NVQ Level 3 Gas Service, or equivalent recognized qualifications relevant to the commercial sector.
  • CIGA1, COMMISSION SERVICE REPAIR & BREAKDOWN OF COMMERCIAL INDIRECT FIRED HEATING APPLIANCES & EQUIP NG/LPG.
  • CODNCO1, CHANGEOVER DOMESTIC NATURAL GAS TO COMMERCIAL NG.
  • TCP1A- Testing and purging up to 1m3.
  • ICPN1- Commercial Gas Pipework.
