Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will oversee a team of Commercial Gas professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional, customer-focused, and compliant property safety services.

The role is primarily based at the Bromley office, with one day a week spent at the Tooley Street office.

Experience in managing teams across Communal/District heating is essential, including Administrators, Planners, Schedulers, Supervisors, and Engineers, comprising a total of 9 office staff and 18 engineers.

As a leader, you will exemplify best practices and establish clear expectations, providing guidance and constructive feedback to enhance team and individual performance.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safe and timely delivery of services to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate and high-quality data within property management systems.
  • Uphold stringent health and safety standards in compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer and asset requirements in your area.
  • Collaborate with residents and community groups to create tailored services.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven technical expertise in gas service and repair.
  • Experience managing a team focused on commercial gas safety and compliance within a large housing association.
  • Strong knowledge of program development and performance enhancement in a social housing context.

Essential Certifications:
  • Gas Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) qualifications and Gas Safe Registration.
  • City and Guilds certification in gas (service) and/or NVQ Level 3 in Gas Service, or equivalent recognized qualifications.
  • CIGA1, COMMISSION SERVICE REPAIR & BREAKDOWN OF COMMERCIAL INDIRECT FIRED HEATING APPLIANCES & EQUIPMENT NG/LPG.
  • CODNCO1, CHANGEOVER DOMESTIC NATURAL GAS TO COMMERCIAL NG.
  • TCP1A- Testing and purging up to 1m3.
  • ICPN1- Commercial Gas Pipework.
