Job Title: Endocrine Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Endocrine Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Wales Medicines Strategy Group. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with endocrine conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with endocrine conditions, including complex cases.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on endocrine conditions and their management.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based guidelines and protocols for endocrine care.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance endocrine care and patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Experience in endocrinology nursing, with a strong understanding of endocrine conditions and their management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
