About The Blundellsands Surgery

We are a friendly and dynamic healthcare team seeking a skilled and organized individual to join our reception team. As a GP Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer a high volume of telephone calls and respond to patient queries in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Book patient appointments with relevant clinicians and manage the practice appointments system.
  • Process repeat prescriptions, send texts/letters to patients, and manage electronic communications.
  • Provide administrative support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team.
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients, healthcare professionals, and other agencies.

Requirements

  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer software and systems, including data entry and record-keeping.
