We are a friendly and dynamic GP practice team, committed to providing high-quality patient care. We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic GP Receptionist to join our team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our practice team, ensuring the smooth running of our reception area and providing an excellent patient experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Answering a high volume of telephone calls and responding to patient queries in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Booking patient appointments with relevant clinicians and managing the practice appointments system
  • Processing repeat prescriptions and sending texts/letters to patients as required
  • Providing clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team
  • Facilitating effective communication between patients, healthcare professionals, and other agencies

Requirements

  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in computer software and systems, including practice management systems
