Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Administrator to join our team at McCabe & Barton. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the provision and support of server hardware, Linux OS, and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision and support of server hardware, Linux OS, and applications.
  • Second-line infrastructure support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Implement monitoring, management, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with the Security team to enforce security policies and ensure compliance.
  • Lead projects to improve production environments and implement new technologies.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and contribute to system design discussions.
  • Work closely with developers, project stakeholders, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Linux administration and deployment.
  • Familiarity with Ansible, Puppet, or similar automation tools.
  • Experience in resilient, low-latency environments, preferably in a trading or financial services context.
  • Strong skills in virtualization platforms, scripting languages (Bash/Shell, Perl, Python), and monitoring platforms like Zabbix.
  • Knowledge of Identity Management platforms (IPA, LDAP) and experience with vendor management and evaluating new technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
