Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Social Care Specialist to join our team as an Advanced Practitioner. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on complex cases and supervising colleagues in AYSE and Assistant Social Workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on complex cases and provide supervision to AYSE and Assistant Social Workers
  • Work closely with secondary health colleagues to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with key partner agencies
  • Support the development of knowledge and skills amongst the social care team
  • Undertake supervision responsibilities of an ASYE and Assistant Social Worker
  • Be responsible for a complex and diverse case load

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of relevant legal frameworks
  • Ability to communicate legal responsibilities to health colleagues
  • Excellent knowledge of practice and legislation
  • Strong knowledge of social care functions and delivery
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
