About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Child Care Specialists to join our team. Our mission is to deliver specialized, high-quality care to children and young people aged 13 to 18 residing in our homes.

As a Child Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in empowering these young individuals to lead fulfilling lives. You will work collaboratively with them to set goals that promote independence, education, and overall well-being. We believe in fostering a sense of agency and control for the young people in our care, enabling them to shape their futures.

You will be part of a close-knit team, building trusting relationships with the children and supporting them in overcoming past trauma and learning to trust adults again.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized care and support to children and young people residing in our homes.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each child.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children feel valued and respected.
  • Encourage personal growth, independence, and social skills development.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all interactions and progress.

Shift Patterns

Our shift patterns are flexible and may vary depending on the needs of the home. Typical shifts range from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM. We require staff to be available for sleep-in shifts, which typically occur a maximum of three times per week unless you prefer to take on additional shifts.
