Position Overview

ROC Recruitment is on the lookout for a Retail Merchandise Coordinator to assist in the merchandising operations. This role will work closely with the Head of Merchandising to ensure that the purchasing activities align with the established business objectives, while also ensuring that all essential frameworks, controls, and competencies are in place to facilitate effective long-term planning and in-season trading to enhance sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Utilization: Leverage analytics to enhance the sales volume and profitability across all assigned product categories.
  • Budget Planning: Aid in the formulation of budgets by category, option count, and purchase depth in accordance with the overall business and financial targets.
  • Stock Management: Regulate inventory levels based on weekly sales and stock intakes.
  • Sales Forecasting: Evaluate sales predictions based on actual performance and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Performance Analysis: Assess and track top and bottom-selling items, providing informed recommendations for action.
  • Promotional Strategies: Suggest promotional activities and reorders as required.
  • Margin Monitoring: Oversee and maintain buying margins and gross profit margins as needed.
  • Maximizing Best Sellers: Ensure that top-selling products achieve their maximum potential.
  • Data Provision: Supply the Head of Merchandising and buying team with essential data to facilitate informed decision-making and planning.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed about current and emerging best practices within merchandising and buying, making recommendations to the business through the Head of Merchandising as appropriate.
