Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cosmetic Nurse Specialist to join our team at Optical Express Group. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Pre-assessment and Post-operative patient pathway for cosmetic patients, ensuring patient safety and delivering exceptional clinical care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Pre-assessment and Post-operative patient pathway for cosmetic patients, ensuring patient safety and delivering exceptional clinical care.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner with specialist skills in cosmetic surgery, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within policies and protocols.
  • Act as the named nurse to clinic cosmetics patients, undertaking a nursing assessment, obtaining a detailed past medical history, and managing appropriate clinical investigations and referrals.
  • Undertake infection prevention and control screening according to infection control policy, reviewing patients post-operatively, including wound care management.
  • Assist consultants during clinics and minor op procedures, supporting the wider nursing team when needed, and traveling to other clinics as required.

Requirements:

  • 1 year post-registration experience in a surgical environment is essential.
  • Phlebotomy skills are required.
  • A good understanding of CQC and governance compliance activities is necessary.
