Ceres Recruitment Solutions is currently on the lookout for a skilled fee earner to become a part of the esteemed Private Client Team within a prominent law firm.

This role presents a remarkable chance to engage with a leading group of professionals dedicated to offering guidance to private clients and trustees concerning estate management, probate, and trust oversight.

The successful candidate will be adept at managing their own portfolio related to estate administration, inheritance tax assessments, advising on trust matters, and overseeing the daily operations of trusts.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Handling all facets of estate administration, which includes gathering asset and liability information, preparing applications for grants of representation, and drafting basic estate accounts.
  • Creating wills and codicils utilizing established templates.
  • Drafting powers of attorney, including Lasting Powers of Attorney for both property and financial affairs as well as health and welfare.
  • Managing all aspects of trust administration.
  • Corresponding with clients, third parties, and professional contacts directly.
  • Assisting team fee earners by managing specific delegated tasks to help them with their caseloads.
  • Ensuring compliance with Lexcel procedures in file management.
  • Staying updated on legislative changes and regulatory matters through ongoing training.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Exceptional organizational and administrative capabilities.
  • A keen eye for detail with a systematic and logical approach.
  • The ability to effectively prioritize a demanding workload and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in probate is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience in trust management is also beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Proficiency in various software applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good numerical aptitude.
