Position: Paralegal for Actions Against Public Authorities
Gemini Recruitment is seeking a skilled and committed Paralegal to join a prestigious law firm in a permanent capacity. This firm is recognized for its excellence in providing legal services to both corporate clients and private individuals across a diverse range of practice areas.
Our client is a well-established legal practice, acknowledged in industry rankings such as The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. They hold multiple accreditations, including Investors in People Gold, Lexcel, Cyber Essentials Plus, and ISO certifications, ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively within a team while also managing individual responsibilities.
- Maintain financial oversight of tasks, focusing on the conversion of work in progress and achieving billing objectives.
- Ensure adherence to Quality Control standards as outlined in the Office Manual, addressing any compliance issues promptly.
- Retain necessary accreditation qualifications as applicable.
- Contribute to the firm's growth in alignment with the Business Plan, including participation in marketing initiatives to meet departmental turnover goals.
- Draft legal documents, engage with clients, and utilize advocacy skills as required.
- Assist in resolving complaints related to your cases.
- Support audit inquiries when necessary.
- Perform any other relevant tasks as directed by Management.
Essential Skills:
- Strong academic background with relevant experience; legal aid experience is a must.
- Proficiency in Legal Aid and Litigation, preferably in Inquests/CAPA.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Familiarity with the Legal Aid Agency's online CCMS system is advantageous.
- Strong legal knowledge, negotiation capabilities, and analytical skills.
- Proficient administrative skills, including document organization, handling inquiries, and completing legal aid documentation.
