We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospitality Cafe Assistant to join our team at Cricketers Westbury Fields site. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing the day-to-day food and beverage provision, and ensuring a vibrant atmosphere in our newly refurbished café.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day food and beverage service, including cooking, preparing, and serving food and beverages to our residents and customers.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to implement changes and ensure a high-quality dining experience.
- Engage with residents and customers to meet their needs and preferences, actively seeking and responding to feedback and suggestions.
- Manage the Front of House service, promoting good customer service and making improvements to the dining experience.
- Responsible for day-to-day temperature checks, controls, and general catering/kitchen hygiene and cleanliness.
- Plan, stock, and order using the Caternet system.
- Complete internal/external audits and activities using the Trust's systems in relation to health and safety, HACCP, and COSHH.
- Deputise for the Head Chef where required.
- Line manage a team of Hospitality Assistants, including recruitment, managing absence, and performance.
- Diploma Level 2 in Food Production/Catering (or equivalent).
- Experience of supervising others.
- Experience and knowledge of special dietary requirements/modified diets, advising on nutrition, hydration, and dietary needs.
- Previous experience working within a budget.
- Experience working within a busy and fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Experience working in a café/restaurant.
- Experience of stock ordering and management.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety legislation and best practice.
- Good standard of IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and bespoke systems.
We offer a competitive salary of £12.00 per hour basic, plus enhancement for weekend working, 31 days holiday allowance, access to free gym and pool, generous pension, subsidised meals, discounts on shopping, on-site parking, and much more.
