Job Title: Lecturer in Maths

Location: Rotherham/Worksop

Hours: Part-time and Full-time positions available

Hourly Rate: £14.89 depending on experience

Contract Length: Temporary on-going

Gi Group Recruitment is seeking a Lecturer in Maths to join our client in Worksop. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students and adults.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Teach and assess a range of courses and learning programmes, including A Level, GCSE Maths, and Functional Skills Literacy.
  2. Plan, prepare, and assess lessons to ensure excellent teaching and learning outcomes.
  3. Meet the demands of the academic calendar, including the production of schemes of working and planning for lessons.
  4. Prepare students for high levels of study and for the world of work, developing specific vocational work and employability skills through the curriculum.
  5. Work with the Pastoral and Progression Coach and course team to promote work experience opportunities.
  6. Have overall responsibility for the academic and pastoral care of a group or groups, including arranging support requirements for students.
  7. Prepare relevant submissions and liaise with accrediting bodies, undertaking internal quality assessment and moderation duties.
Requirements:
  1. Experience of teaching GCSE Maths to students 16+
  2. Appropriate level teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  3. Able to deliver to students at all levels and abilities using flexible and innovative methods.
  4. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  5. Willingness to undertake training and update own CPD.
  6. Commitment to a policy of equality relevant to all students, staff, clients, and the public.
