Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Education Welfare Officer to join our team in West Wiltshire. As an Education Welfare Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the welfare and attendance of children and young people across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Primary and Secondary schools, parents, and carers to build strong relationships and positively influence attendance outcomes.
- Engage with Academies who buy into the Education Welfare Service to provide individual support to children and young people through casework and assessments.
- Fulfill Local Authority statutory duties around attendance, including court papers and representation.
Requirements
- Direct experience in working with children and families.
- Familiarity with statutory obligations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage complex workloads and generate quality reports and court documents.
- Proficient IT skills and data interpretation abilities.
