Senior Mechanical Engineer - Facilities Management Provider

We are pleased to present an exceptional opportunity to join a prominent facilities management provider. We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take on a pivotal role within a commercial property environment.

The ideal candidate will possess the necessary qualifications as a Mechanical Engineer, holding C&G / NVQ level 2 & 3 certifications, along with a solid history of experience in the maintenance of commercial properties.

Responsibilities will include executing planned and reactive maintenance tasks across various mechanical and electrical systems within a large team, ensuring the seamless operation of all landlord services. The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate hands-on expertise in the following areas:

  • Lighting systems (including installation, troubleshooting, lamp replacement, and power distribution)
  • Emergency lighting and fire alarm testing
  • Pressurization units
  • HVAC systems
  • Maintenance of plant rooms
  • Air conditioning systems, including air handling units and fan coil units
  • Chiller resets
  • Pump and motor maintenance
  • Water treatment processes
  • Plumbing tasks such as unblocking toilets and replacing fixtures
  • Building Management Systems (BMS) monitoring
  • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) monitoring
  • General building fabric upkeep
  • Supervising subcontractors
Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday (40-hour work week with potential for weekend overtime)
  • Standard hours from 08:00 to 17:00
  • On-call duty on a rotational basis
