Position Summary:
We are in search of a committed Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs to join our organization and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and standards.
Reporting Structure:
This role will report directly to the Electrical Services Director and will be tasked with overseeing all facets of regulatory compliance within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance Management:
- Guarantee that all electrical operations align with industry regulations and standards.
- Formulate and execute compliance policies and procedures.
Training and Development:
- Deliver training and support to electrical teams and apprentices regarding regulatory standards.
- Coordinate ongoing training sessions and workshops to keep personnel updated on regulatory changes.
Audits and Inspections:
- Perform regular internal audits and inspections of electrical work to verify compliance.
- Prepare for and manage regulatory assessments and inspections.
- Tackle any compliance issues identified during audits and inspections, implementing necessary corrective measures.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive records of all compliance activities, including audits, inspections, and training sessions.
- Generate detailed reports on compliance status and issues for senior management.
- Effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies regarding compliance matters.
- Provide assistance and guidance to project teams on compliance-related issues.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in electrical installation and maintenance, with a solid understanding of regulatory standards.
- Certification in the latest electrical regulations and knowledge of Health & Safety standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and capability to conduct thorough inspections and audits.
- Proficiency in compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position that involves a mix of office and fieldwork, including site visits and inspections. Some travel may be necessary for training and assessments.
