Job Title: Head of Housekeeping

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Housekeeping to join our team at Active Care Group. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for leading the housekeeping team and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the housekeeping team to ensure effective delivery of cleaning services
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and rotas to ensure adequate staff cover at all times
  • Organise and deliver COSHH training to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Conduct performance and development reviews for the domestic team, identifying training needs and implementing relevant training
  • Work with the Centre Manager and HR Administrator to recruit and select new staff
  • Maintain the budget for cleaning supplies, kitchen/housekeeping uniforms, and linen
  • Undertake cleaning of the unit, including service user areas and communal areas as designated
  • Ensure correct usage, storage, and care of cleaning equipment, adhering to COSHH procedures
Requirements:
  • Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Positive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
