About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our team, specializing in high voltage (HV) National Grid infrastructure projects. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing costs, ensuring projects are delivered within budget, and providing commercial support for complex HV transmission and distribution projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare, review, and manage cost estimates, budgets, and valuations for high voltage projects, including substations, overhead lines, and cable installations.
  2. Monitor and control project expenditures, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting of project costs.
  3. Procurement management: Engage with subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing procurement processes.
  4. Cost management: Track variations, manage change control, and provide detailed cost analysis to ensure financial transparency.
  5. Provide regular commercial reports and updates to senior management and key stakeholders, including cash flow forecasts and risk analysis.
  6. Ensure compliance with National Grid contract terms, safety standards, and governance frameworks.
  7. Work closely with project teams to ensure effective project delivery.

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Manager with a strong background in high voltage National Grid infrastructure projects.
