About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Culinary Specialist to join our team at Aramark. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a range of dishes using various cooking methods, including grilling, roasting, and frying.
- Support the kitchen manager with stock control, ordering, and inventory management.
- Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment to ensure efficient food preparation.
- Ensure that food is stored and handled in accordance with food safety policies and guidelines.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain a high level of hygiene.
- Present and garnish food to a high standard, using a variety of techniques and ingredients.
- Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, and colleagues.
- Assist in the compilation of shift opening and closing checklists to ensure accurate record-keeping.
Requirements
- DBS checks are required for this role.
- Previous experience as a cook or similar role is essential.
- E-learning opportunities are available to obtain a Food Safety Level 2/3 certificate.
What We Offer
- A competitive hourly rate of £12.25.
- A 25-30 hour working week, Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm.
- 39 working weeks per year, term-time only.
