Portfolio Payroll is currently working with a large retail client who is recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join their team. Working for an established business and on a part-time basis, the client is looking for someone to work between 20 and 24 hours a week.

Reporting into the payroll manager, you will be responsible for processing a high-volume monthly payroll as part of a team.

  • The role itself is hybrid working, with a mix of office and remote work.
  • The system used is Iris.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing payroll for a large client base
  • Resolving errors and discrepancies
  • Running multiple payrolls and managing payroll schedules
  • Managing deductions, including tax and NI
  • Auto-enrollment and pension scheme administration
  • Responding to queries and resolving issues
  • Processing SSP, SMP, and SPP
  • Manual calculations and reconciliations
  • High-volume monthly payroll processing
  • Strong Excel skills are essential for this role
