Executive Chef

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to join our team at Macklin Care Homes. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of wholesome and nutritious meals to our residents.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a team, innovating and implementing new ideas, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety. You will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, organizing the kitchen operation, and ensuring that meals are served consistently and attractively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the kitchen team and ensure that meals are prepared and served to a high standard.
- Innovate and implement new ideas for the kitchen, including menu planning and food presentation.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety, including COSHH regulations and health and safety procedures.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure that they are conversant and compliant with health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure that residents' dietary needs are met.
- Ensure that kitchen assistants are proactive in their duties, including cleaning and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Food Hygiene & COSHH training.
- Good general health and a good command of written and spoken English.
- Ability to communicate with the elderly and work collaboratively with other departments.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous management experience in a similar role.
- Minimum three years experience in a similar role.
