Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Operational Risk Data Analyst to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in building and maintaining a comprehensive suite of analyses that enable group-wide and tactical operational risk reporting. Your work will directly contribute to the success of our second line risk and compliance teams by fostering a data-led approach to risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the central operational risk team and subject matter experts to identify data requirements and translate them into actionable outputs.
  • Support our Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process by producing comprehensive reporting suites for review and approval by relevant committees.
  • Lead data gathering and analysis using a variety of tools and techniques to extract valuable insights.
  • Work with the central operational risk team to identify manual processes that can be automated, leveraging data manipulation and reporting capabilities to strengthen our internal control environment.
  • Develop innovative tools and methodologies to provide assurance over identified controls within our operations.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of data sets to identify trends and patterns, generating insightful reports for senior management and relevant committees.
  • Perform data retrieval, cleaning, and validation processes using appropriate tools to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our reporting.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to existing processes and developing new utilities that streamline our operations.
  • Provide support for additional operational risk management activities as required.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in working with complex datasets, strong SQL skills, and proficiency in data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, or SAS. A meticulous approach to detail, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to manage your workload effectively are essential for success in this role.

Familiarity with key operational risk reporting topics is highly desirable.
