Job Title: Linguistics Graduate Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Linguistics Graduate to join our team as a Teaching Assistant for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to gain valuable experience and make a real difference in the lives of our students.

About the Role:
  • Support pupils with English as an Additional Language in a secondary school setting
  • Work closely with the Inclusion Manager and class teachers to monitor and forward the academic, social, and personal progression of SEN pupils
  • Deliver support to pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to reinforce their knowledge and build confidence in the classroom
  • Collaborate with the experienced SENCO to develop and implement strategies to support SEN pupils
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in Linguistics or a related field
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
