Lead and Inspire a High-Performing Sales Engineering Team at Okta
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sales Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team at Okta, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of talented sales engineers who drive customer success by providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the sales process.
As a Sales Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping our go-to-market strategy and ensuring that our customers have a seamless and positive experience with Okta's innovative identity and access management solutions.
Your Responsibilities:- Build and Lead a World-Class Team: Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of high-performing sales engineers who possess a deep understanding of our complex service offerings.
- Drive Customer Success: Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide technical solutions that meet their specific requirements.
- Develop Winning Strategies: Leverage your expertise in identity and access management (IAM) to create compelling proposals and SOWs (Statements of Work) that align with customer objectives.
- Foster a Culture of Excellence: Promote a collaborative and results-oriented environment where team members are empowered to learn, grow, and contribute their best work.
- Proven experience leading and managing high-performing sales engineering teams within the technology industry.
- Deep understanding of complex service solutions and the ability to differentiate them in the marketplace.
- Experience with SOW/Proposal processes, including scoping, producing, and delivering SOWs that meet customer requirements.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with IAM and security concepts is highly desirable.
- Ability to learn Okta solutions quickly and leverage our technical sales team for complex engagements.
- Experience in applying situational leadership and growth models to manage diverse teams effectively.
