Join Our Team as a Tax Senior

Armstrong Watson is a leading independent Accountancy and Business Advisory firm based in the North of England and Scotland. We are now recruiting for a Tax Senior to work as part of the Private Client Team, delivering Tax advisory projects to our clients with a specific focus on the North East Market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain information from clients in relation to tax advisory projects and communicate with other service lines to keep them updated on project progress.
  • Assist the Private Client Team in providing advice to clients on Capital Gains Tax, IHT, income tax planning, business restructuring, estates, and trusts, and stamp duty land tax as appropriate.
  • Support senior tax team members in dealing with ad hoc queries from the wider business.
  • Keep up to date with taxation legislation and identify potential issues, bringing them to the attention of the Senior Tax Manager, Tax Director, or Tax Partner as appropriate.
  • Onboard new clients and be responsible for drafting risk management documentation on all matters.
Requirements:
  • AAT qualified as a minimum.
  • A Full UK Driving Licence (desirable).
  • Practical knowledge of Private Client Tax.
