About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Professional to join our team as a HSQE Advisor. As a key member of our SHEQ team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe operation of our sites and compliance with all relevant health and safety regulatory and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assurance, guidance, and support to project teams to deliver projects to the highest health and safety standards.
  • Support and collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks, and implement effective control measures.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our business operations, including our policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with site managers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of health and safety excellence.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and deliver educational tools and training programs to promote health and safety awareness and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination on health and safety matters.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience and expertise gained in a similar role, preferably in the rail industry or construction sector.
  • Working knowledge of the rail industry, construction, or infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to analyze complex information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet business needs.
