Job Title: RCHW Site Operative

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Recycling Centre Team as a Site Operative. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our recycling centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service to the public, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the site, including waste management and recycling processes.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy site, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Oversee waste movements and ensure proper storage of materials for optimal recycling.
  • Assist in providing clear instructions to subcontractors and hauliers.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and quality assurance.
Requirements:
  • GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths or NVQ level.
  • Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with good administration skills.
  • General good health, able to work on foot for lengthy periods.
  • IOSH Working Safely or equivalent safety accreditation desirable.
  • Mechanical knowledge and knowledge of correct manual handling desirable.
  • NPORS or similar Plant Operators Licence/Qualification on Material Handler, with previous experience operating plant machinery preferably within the waste industry.
