Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Culinary Assistant to join our team at Hertfordshire Catering Limited. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for providing excellent food service to students and staff at one of our primary schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook basic meals and snacks for students and staff
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Provide friendly and polite customer service to students and staff
  • Assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve culinary skills

Requirements:

  • Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Food hygiene level 2 certification (training will be provided for those without)
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Exceptional timekeeping and reliability
