Role Overview
This position requires the selected candidate to be present in our Glasgow office at least twice a week.
Purpose of the Role
The focus of this position is to provide operational support for our Core Wealth platforms and their users. By collaborating closely with business stakeholders and third-party platform providers, the role entails developing a comprehensive understanding of system functionalities to deliver technical assistance in troubleshooting and resolving issues, as well as managing requests. Success in this role demands a natural analytical mindset, keen attention to detail, and exceptional problem-solving abilities. Previous experience in investments will be advantageous for translating user requirements effectively.
Candidates should be delivery-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks, and thrive in a team-oriented environment. You will gain exposure to various technical disciplines and must be comfortable in a flexible and progressive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 technical support for our core Wealth Management platforms.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal development teams on incident, request, and change management processes.
- Prioritize technical issues based on their impact and urgency.
- Manage a queue of incidents and requests, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Offer support for application configuration, releases, and upgrades.
- Analyze and resolve application-related problems in conjunction with business users and third-party suppliers as needed.
- Participate in testing and release management activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis and identify trends.
- Assist in researching, analyzing, and implementing new processes.
- Perform data analysis and generate ad-hoc reports.
- Conduct routine maintenance and monitoring of applications.
- Engage in user and supplier workshops and forums.
- Facilitate application adoption across the organization.
- Support occasional weekend and out-of-hours activities.
- Manage user setup and maintenance.
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience
- Prior experience in Wealth Management or a related field.
- Understanding of wealth management or financial services products and processes.
- Proficient IT skills in core Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in an Application Support role or a similar capacity.
- Familiarity with SQL, Rest API, JIRA, and Confluence.
Professional Qualifications and Education
- CISI qualifications are desirable.
