Quality Assurance Specialist

The Intake Auditor is a critical position within the Boohoo Group, responsible for ensuring that products meet defined quality standards set by Product Technology/Product Safety & Compliance. This involves conducting merchandise inspections and audits to verify product quality, identify defects, and document inconsistencies or deviations from quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct post-shipment inspections and targeted audits to ensure products meet established quality standards.
- Identify and document defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from quality standards with clear and concise descriptions.
- Record inspection results accurately and promptly in designated systems or forms, generating detailed reports for communication.
- Ensure products adhere to industry regulations, standards, and safety guidelines, staying updated on relevant requirements.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams, including production, design, and sourcing, to address quality concerns and provide feedback.
- Assist in identifying root causes of quality issues and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
- Participate in training programs to improve inspection skills, stay updated on quality control practices, and support professional development.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in quality control within the fashion or apparel industry.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, and manufacturing processes.
- Detail-oriented with excellent observational and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently, follow guidelines, and adhere to established procedures.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
- Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to product quality improvement.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to product quality and safety is advantageous.
