About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Specialist Childcare Workers at a well-known children's residential service in the North West.

This is a new residential provision focused on supporting children transitioning from a specialized secure environment. Our team provides a psychologically informed, therapeutic environment to help young people move from physical security to relational security, offering Residential Care, Education, and Health support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote good childcare practices by fostering a caring environment in line with our home's purpose and core values.
  • Deliver trauma-informed care, participating in the development of psychological formulations based on understanding trauma and adverse childhood experiences.
  • Support young people to stay safe through relationships with staff rather than physical restrictions, using models of complex relational care.
  • Prepare young people for successful adult lives by showing ambition, integrity, and compassion in your interactions.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards it (funded through an accredited Apprenticeship).
  • Be optimistic, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality care.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of trauma and its impact on young people.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £24,909 - £27,317 per annum (or pro-rata for part-time hours).
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including a Group Personal Pension Scheme, Life Assurance Scheme, and Occupational Sickness Scheme.
  • Opportunities for career progression and professional development.
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment.
