About the Role

The Head of Resourcing will be responsible for leading the recruitment and resourcing function at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, a large and complex NHS trust. The successful candidate will have significant experience in recruitment and medical staffing, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality recruitment services in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent
  • Manage the recruitment process, including planning, coordination, and execution
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on recruitment and medical staffing matters
  • Oversee the administration of staff visa and certificate of sponsorship renewal
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and good practice guidance
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including HR, management, and clinical teams
  • Manage and develop a team of recruitment professionals

Requirements

  • Masters level qualification in management or equivalent
  • Significant experience in recruitment and medical staffing, preferably in a large and complex organization
  • Expert knowledge of NHS pay and terms and conditions of service
  • Ability to interpret national policy, legal changes, and good practice guidance
  • Expert and up-to-date knowledge of employment law
  • Demonstrable experience of contributing to the management and implementation of change programs
  • A sound understanding of good practice and legislation on diversity

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a teaching hospital, including issues relevant to doctors in training
  • Good understanding of NHS policy and the contribution of HR
