Job Title: Site Manager

MPI Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the project, ensuring the successful delivery of remediation works and other groundworks within budget and programme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage site operations, programme, cost, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, including site-specific documents and the H&S management system.
  • Identify and report safety observations and near misses to promote a positive safety culture.
  • Undertake site inductions, keep records, and communicate with the site team.
  • Review and ensure sub-contractors' method statements and risk assessments comply with the Health and Safety management system.
  • Produce amendments to CPP, risk assessments, and method statements as required.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical and electrical background (M&E).
  • SMSTS (Site Managers Safety Training Scheme) certification.
  • Full 3-day first aid training.
  • Black CSCS Card Management & Professionals.
  • EUSR Water hygiene certification.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator experience.
Desirable:
  • City & Guilds confined space entrant & topman (Medium Risk).
  • CPCS appointed person (A61) certification.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to deliver clear instructions, motivate, develop, and direct site personnel.
  • Interface with and manage external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask.
Technical:
  • Review drawings from production to site install and highlight potential clashes.
  • Review and audit sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Oversee temporary works and liaise with sub-contractors on temporary works implementation.
  • Site visits with cranage contractor.
  • Oversee ground surveys ahead of site works.
  • Manage enabling works.
  • Compile and write Site/project specific RAMS.
Commercial:
  • Work with the Project Leads and Commercial team to maintain a thorough understanding of the day-to-day financial aspects of the projects.
  • Record and provide all information required by the Project Leads and commercial team.
  • Ensure purchase requisitions and delivery of materials are undertaken in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure that all plant, materials, fuel, and labour are organised effectively.
  • Ensure weekly cost returns for plant, equipment, labour, and materials are accurately completed and submitted on time.

MPI Limited is a specialist water and wastewater process technology and services company. We design, build, and operate water and wastewater plants for the treatment of municipal sewage and industrial effluent in the UK and Ireland.
