About the Role

We're seeking a talented Principal Designer to join our team. As a key member of our Control and Instrumentation (C&I) Department, you'll play a crucial role in creating schedules, time assignments, and resource allocation for our projects. Your expertise will ensure that designs meet project requirements, and you'll be responsible for identifying areas of concern and addressing operational and maintenance issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement design solutions that are fit for purpose, safe, and add value to both PD&MS Energy (Aberdeen) Ltd. and our clients.
  • Conduct surveys, both onshore and offshore, to determine information for the execution of workscopes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify areas of concern and develop effective solutions.
  • Ensure that designs meet project requirements and are aligned with our company's values and standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in Control and Instrumentation engineering design, with a strong understanding of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality systems.
  • Proficiency in software packages such as AUTOCAD, MicroStation, and Bluebeam.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational and maintenance issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
