About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Renewable Energy Development Lead to join our growing team in the UK. In this role, you will play a key part in identifying, evaluating, and developing new renewable energy projects across onshore wind, solar, and battery storage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification and evaluation of potential renewable energy development opportunities within the UK market.
  • Conduct comprehensive site assessments, including technical feasibility studies, environmental impact analyses, and regulatory reviews.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from conception through to financial close, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, local communities, government agencies, and utility companies.
  • Prepare detailed project proposals, investment appraisals, and other documentation required for securing funding and regulatory approvals.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, policy changes, and technological advancements in the renewable energy sector.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of proven experience in renewable energy development, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
  • In-depth understanding of UK planning regulations, environmental permitting processes, and grid connection requirements for renewable energy projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, environmental science, or business administration.
