Job Title: Development Manager - Onshore Renewables

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to join our team in Edinburgh, UK. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of onshore wind and solar development projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the onshore renewables pipeline, progressing new development opportunities
  • Conduct detailed assessments of site potential, including risk analysis and coordination of EIA and planning submission documentation
  • Manage the full project life cycle from conception to financial close
  • Produce and maintain project programmes, budgets, and internal reporting requirements
  • Appoint and manage external consultants
  • Manage stakeholder consultation, including presenting projects to consultees, permitting stakeholders, and host communities
  • Stay up-to-date with jurisdictional planning processes, regulation, and policy, identifying key risks and opportunities
  • Engage with internal teams, including engineering, finance, legal, and O&M
  • Contribute to financial models, identify project benefits, and produce investment appraisals

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant professional experience in renewables development or a related field
  • Strong understanding of the renewables development process, regulation, and policy
  • Demonstrable relationships within the energy industry
  • Commercial awareness and GIS experience beneficial
  • Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree
