Main Responsibilities:
- Overseeing a fleet of more than 30 vehicles.
- Managing a collection of over 40 trailers.
- Supervising a dedicated team of 50 drivers.
- Coordinating with agency drivers and ensuring their effective management.
- Engaging with multiple satellite locations across the Midlands and Northwest to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring compliance with fleet regulations and managing all aspects of fleet operations, including tracking, damage reporting, and accident management.
- Conducting training sessions and awareness programs for both core and agency drivers.
- Performing annual assessments and fleet audits.
- Maintaining O license compliance.
- Exercising active leadership while prioritizing health and safety standards.
- Exhibiting a professional demeanor and approach.
Desirable Skills:
- Ability to devise strategic and dynamic transport solutions tailored to Just-In-Time (JIT) requirements.
- Proactive leadership in health and safety initiatives.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, producing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reports for senior management.
- Experience in managing demanding customer expectations and adapting to high-pressure situations through a recognized reporting structure.
- Previous experience in a transport office as a Transport Operations Supervisor, Transport Planner, or similar role is essential.
Compensation Information:
£30, plus a percentage shift allowance.
Available Shift Pattern:
Nights from Monday to Friday, 22:00 - 06:00.
